Legal counseling

Zpět

At Simi, we provide legal counseling to all migrants, regardless of their residence status, including asylum seekers, recognized refugees, and individuals without legal residence. We focus on immigration, asylum, labor, civil, and family law, including counseling in cases of domestic violence. We assist with document preparation, application submissions, and communication with authorities, immigration police, or courts. In specific cases, we offer individual assistance throughout the entire legal process (participation in interviews, drafting legal complaints, representation before courts, etc.).

We provide legal counseling in almost all life situations migrants may face, particularly in the following areas:

  • Immigration and Asylum Law: Assistance with residence permits, visas, citizenship applications, international protection (asylum, subsidiary protection) and its extension, temporary protection, support during interviews and legal submissions.
  • Labor Law: Counseling on changing employers, wrongful termination, unpaid wages, and other violations of labor rights.
  • Family Law: Support in marriage and registered partnerships between foreigners and mixed-nationality couples, residence status arrangements for children born to foreign parents or in mixed marriages.
  • Domestic Violence: Counseling for victims of physical and psychological violence within families or among close persons, assistance with residence matters for victims and their dependents.

We do not provide legal counseling in commercial law or real estate transactions. Our services are intended for migrants who cannot afford paid legal services.

Legal counseling is available in Czech, Russian, English, German, and French. We can arrange interpretation into other languages if needed.

Services can be accessed in person, by phone, or online (via email, WhatsApp, Facebook).

Our legal counseling is free of charge.
