Intercultural work services

Intercultural work serves as a bridge between migrants, the majority society, and public institutions and is key to fostering successful coexistence between migrants and the majority population. At Simi, we provide intercultural work services to all migrants, regardless of their residence status, including asylum seekers, recognized refugees, and individuals without legal residence. We support all these actors in mutual communication, harmonious coexistence, and overcoming barriers.

Who can book our services: 

Migrants, public administration, education, and healthcare staff working with migrants 

Working languages: 

Ukrainian, Russian, English, Vietnamese, Mongolian

We provide:

• Accompaniment and assistance in dealings with Czech institutions 
• Interpreting 
• Assistance in filling out Czech forms
• Assistance in navigating the Czech environment (e.g., education and healthcare system) 
• Explaining the cultural differences between the negotiating parties 
• Passing on contact information to other support channels

We don’t provide:

• Representing a client on the basis of power of attorney 
• Professional legal advice, representing a client in court 
• Professional social counseling 
• Financial and tax consulting 
• Employment mediation

Due to high demand, we recommend booking assistance at least 14 days in advance. Make an appointment as soon as you know the date of the meeting for which you need assistance.
