At Simi, we provide social counseling to all migrants, regardless of their residence status, including asylum seekers, recognized refugees, and individuals without legal residence. We support everyone who finds themselves in a difficult life situation, such as issues related to employment, housing, healthcare, social security, education, and family life. We help overcome administrative barriers, navigate the Czech system, and facilitate their integration into society.

What can we assist you with?

  • Employment – Guidance on the labor market, assistance in finding, securing, or maintaining a job, help with writing a CV, and information on employee and self-employed rights.
  • Housing – Support in navigating the housing market (commercial and social housing), information on tenants’ rights and obligations, risks related to renting (proper contract, deposit, rent price, service payments, etc.), and information on emergency social housing within Czech social services.
  • Healthcare – Assistance in dealing with hospitals, doctors, and health insurance companies.
  • Social Security – Information on pensions, benefits, and other forms of support.
  • Education – Support with enrolling children in kindergartens and schools, assistance with academic-related matters.
  • Family Life – Support for families in childcare and caregiving, help with parenting issues, and assistance in difficult life situations such as the death of a family member, childbirth, and work-life balance.

We provide individual consultations, accompaniment to offices, schools, hospitals, and other institutions, as well as outreach programs in selected locations.

Social counseling is available in Czech, English, French, Polish, and Russian. We can arrange interpretation into other languages if needed.
