Therapeutic consultations
We offer free mental support and professional therapeutic counseling to all migrants residing in Czechia who are in a difficult personal or psychological situation.
The work of our experienced therapeutic team mainly includes intercultural and integration counselling, within which we offer help with understanding Czech culture, integrating into the local environment and finding one’s place in Czech society. We also provide intercultural counselling to mixed couples from different cultures, whether with one partner from Czechia or elsewhere.
Our therapeutic consultations assist in solving:
- personal, relationship, or family issues, difficulties with raising children,
- various problems in the workplace, unfulfilled expectations or feelings of long-term failure,
- alienation, generational misunderstandings,
- negative reactions to oneself experienced in Czechia (e.g., in relation to origin, ethnicity, language, or religion), and more.
We also support individuals who feel culturally isolated in Czechia or are without contact with people.
Our assistance is also available for individuals who:
- have become victims of trafficking, exploitation, or other criminal activities,
- had to flee their country (e.g., due to fear for their life, freedom, family, or property),
- face persecution for political, religious, ethnic, or other reasons, and need to share their concerns.
If the consultation issue exceeds the organization’s capabilities, we will facilitate contact with other professional psychological or psychiatric care services or recommend care from other relevant organizations that address these issues at a professional level.
Our services are free of charge.
The mission of our social service is to support migrants during their stay in Czechia through comprehensive counseling. Our core principles include confidentiality, professionalism, an individual approach, empowerment, respect, and accessibility. We provide services free of charge, either in person, by phone, or via email. We respond to email inquiries within seven working days.
We adhere to principles of equal treatment, respect for clients’ dignity and privacy, and support for their independence. Our services comply with Act No. 108/2006 Coll., and our staff meet the required professional qualifications and integrity standards.
