We strive for a dignified position of migrant men and women in the labour market. We advocate for the protection of their labour rights and contribute to systemic changes aimed at improving working conditions.
Programme in Numbers
Since 2020, we have provided our beneficiaries with over 700 consultations on labour law issues.
More than 400 of these consultations were for holders of employee cards.
In 2013, the “Foreign Women for Cleaning” campaign drew attention to the violation of migrant women’s labour rights in private households.
Objectives
Our aim is to strengthen the position of migrant workers, who often face disadvantages in employment relationships. Through targeted support, we help them better understand and navigate the legal and labour system in the Czech Republic.
In order to achieve the objectives, we focus on, among others, the following activities:
Free professional legal and social counselling
Legislative advocacy related to employee cards
Establishing cooperation with state institutions (Labour Inspectorate, Labour Office, Czech Police)
Collaboration with other non-governmental organisations
Education / raising awareness among migrant men and women about their rights in employment relationships
