Employment

After you have obtained temporary protection, you can work in the Czech Republic without any additional work permit. All you need to do is negotiate an employment contract, an agreement on the performance of an activity or an agreement on the performance of work with your future employer.

The employer must report the start of employment of a foreigner to the local branch of the Labour Office. More information about the process of reporting the start of employment of a foreigner can be found HERE.

• The Labor Office offers assistance to citizens of Ukraine and their employers, and publishes on its website a regularly updated list of summary information on working in the Czech Republic and what is needed when entering the Czech labor market.
