“Husitská” Helps

The aim of the project called “Husitská Helps” is to support coexistence between the majority and migrants, strengthen mutual understanding and break down prejudices and negative stereotypes. Intercultural activities are provided by intercultural workers who provide assistance to migrants in dealing with public institutions, including interpreting, and help them overcome language and socio-cultural barriers.

Their work also includes mediating communication between the parties in order to ensure understanding and facilitate the integration of migrants into the majority society. Intercultural workers also provide basic social and legal advice in the area of ​​residence of foreigners, map the needs and problems of migrants in a given locality and actively contribute to building a cohesive and open community.

The activities are also carried out in cooperation with organizations that have long been dedicated to the integration of foreigners and strengthening intercultural dialogue.
