In the Czech Republic, migrant and refugee women face inequalities in access to residency status, employment, healthcare, and protection from violence. Their situation is further complicated by language barriers, social isolation, and a lack of awareness of their rights. The ‘Voices for Change’ project addresses these challenges by strengthening intercultural understanding and reducing discrimination at the community level. Through intercultural assistance, educational workshops, and an awareness campaign, the project promotes access to information, active participation in society, and greater independence for migrant and refugee women. The project’s goal is to improve their position in Czech society, increase awareness of their rights, and strengthen their resilience in times of crisis.
